　　第一封：cover letter

　　Cover letter可以说是投稿信，也可以说是论文的推荐信，其目的是让sci期刊的编辑通过阅读cover letter能够对sci论文有所了解，介绍文章内容时主要讲述核心部分：做这项研究的原因、研究过程中的重要发现、得出了什么结果，再就是该项研究对投稿期刊宗旨的契合度。

　　Dear Editor:

　　I would like to request you to consider the attached manuscript entitled [论文题目] for publication in [期刊名称] as an [文章类型].

　　While many studies have investigated the [简短叙述该主题下的既有知识].1 have not come across a paper that deals with [你的研究所属领域/主题]. We conducted [简短叙述研究方法] and came up with [概述研究结果]. I feel that [你的研究何以重要，未来的发展方向为何].I believe that the findings of this study are relevant to the scope of your journal and will be of interest to its readership. 　　第二封：催稿信

　　Sci论文虽然审稿的时间比较长，但如果超出了常规的审稿时间还没有收到论文的任何消息，这时可以写一封催稿信委婉的问一下，论文现在的状态，好让编辑知道论文的情况，然后对论文进一步处理是催审稿人还是换审稿人等。在写催稿信时可以参考：

　　Dear Mr./Ms. 编辑姓名,

　　I have submitted my revised manuscript titled 论文题目 [manuscript id: 稿件编号] to your journal via the online submission system on dd/mm/yyyy [date of submission]. Two days later, the status changed to『with editor.』However, the status has remained unchanged ever since.

　　I would be grateful if you could let me know whether there has been any further progress on my submission.

　　第三封：修改稿cover letter

　　据了解不是所有的sci期刊都需要作者提交修改稿是提交cover letter，若是需要提交也就是一些客套话，首先要对审稿人的审稿表示感谢，然后说明自己修改了哪些内容，修改的内容是怎样标记的。

　　Thanks very much for taking your time to review this manuscript. I really appreciate all your comments and suggestions! Please find my itemized responses in below and my revisions/corrections in the re-submitted files. (这一段基本上是套话)
